Matthew Hoyt is a dedicated waterman whose deep connection to the Chesapeake Bay has shaped both his character and his career. A proud 2021 graduate of Severn School, Matt's formative years were spent mastering the waters of the Severn River and the greater Chesapeake Bay through fishing and crabbing—experiences that instilled in him an intimate understanding of maritime life and a profound respect for the water.

Following graduation, Matt ventured to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he expanded his horizons through collegiate studies while immersing himself in the vibrant South Florida yachting community. It was there that he discovered his true calling, apprenticing alongside a master shipwright for two years. This intensive mentorship allowed him to develop expertise across a comprehensive range of marine disciplines—from structural repair and fine woodworking to advanced paint systems and mechanical systems maintenance.

Now returned to his beloved Chesapeake Bay, Matt brings a unique combination of local knowledge, formal training, and hands-on expertise to Annapolis Yacht Concierge. His passion for the bay remains as strong as ever, though his focus has evolved from working the waters to preserving and perfecting the vessels that grace them. Matt's dedication to craftsmanship, attention to detail, and genuine love for maritime excellence make him an invaluable asset to yacht owners seeking the highest standard of care for their vessels.

When he's not meticulously restoring yachts, you'll find Matt doing what he loves most—fishing the rivers and waters of the Chesapeake Bay, maintaining his lifelong connection to the maritime heritage that defines this region.
